I want to extend a huge thank you to the wedding planning staff. While my sister and I were walking towards our room, we overheard another butler informing his guests about the wedding services. Immediately inspiration hit, and we snuck away to the wedding office to plan a secret vow renewal for our parents. The staff was beyond excited to help us plan this surprise. They made it so easy for us, as all we had to do was show proof of marriage (a marriage certificate), sit back, and enjoy. We surprised our mom by having our butler pretend we scheduled a “photo shoot” during the time of the renewal. The ceremony was magical, and everyone involved made it an experience we will never forget. Below I included a picture of the beautiful cake we got to enjoy over a bottle of champagne shortly after the ceremony. Later that evening, we had a magical family dinner at Ok Corral Tex-Mex Kitchen. Lastly, when my parents arrived back to their room they found it was romantically decorated.

Don’t miss the Caribbean cuisine at Eleanor’s, which offers a true taste of the islands. My personal favorite was Barefoot by the Sea, where I ordered a delicious surf and turf. Overall, we had an amazing dining experience at each of the restaurants.

Whether you seek adventure or relaxation, Sandals Grande Antigua has something for everyone. Water enthusiasts can enjoy unlimited scuba diving, snorkeling, paddleboarding, and sailing. If you are not comfortable taking the sailboat out on your own, the ocean activities staff will be happy to take you for a ride. Land activities include beach volleyball, tennis, and state-of-the-art fitness centers. Cool off in one of the resort’s six pools, including the largest pool in the Eastern Caribbean, or unwind in one of the whirlpools.
Reserving a pool cabana at Sandals Grande Antigua elevates your luxury experience to new heights. This cabana is avaviable for an additinonal charge. Perfect for couples seeking a private oasis or for guests wanting a touch of VIP treatment. During our stay, we reserved these poolside cabanas, and it was truly a blast. Without reserving a cabana you can still swim or walk up to the poolside bar!
For those who prefer a slower pace, the resort offers numerous opportunities for relaxation. Lounge on the white sands of Dickenson Bay, enjoy a tropical drink at the swim-up bar, or indulge in a soothing treatment at the Red Lane Spa. The spa features a range of services, from massages and facials to body treatments.
Our last relaxing experience was at the airport. We waited for our flight in the executive lounge, and were greeted by fast track services. This lounge made traveling feel like a continued part of our vacation. In this private lounge there was a bar with food and drink, and even an outdoor patio where you can watch the planes take off and land.

Ascend to Shirley Heights, the island’s highest point, and indulge in the mesmerizing spectacle of sunsets accompanied by the melodies of a steel band. Explore the rich history at Nelson’s Dockyard, and immerse yourself in the exhilarating festivities of Sailing Week held annually in April. Nature enthusiasts will find solace at Devils Bridge National Park, while beach lovers can revel in the abundance of 365 pristine beaches waiting to be explored. Antigua is the perfect exploration destination with its diverse offerings, promising an unforgettable tropical escape.
Island Pets
Calling all animal lovers! This resort had many little friends running around. Sandals feeds the cats, and they even have a little kitten restaurant. When we arrived a bunch of kittens ran out of the bushes to greet us. Additionally, there are two parrots on site. We stopped to talk to them often, and heard them say their favorite words “hello” and “hi”. Lastly, there was a beach dog who would make an appearance during sunset.
