The original Sandals resort is closed for restoration following the hurricane. It returns with a new beachfront pool, a new beach club, updated restaurants, and fully redesigned room categories — a more modern, more social beachfront resort than the one that closed.
Sandals Montego Bay sits under 5 minutes from Sangster International Airport (MBJ), the shortest airport transfer of any Sandals hotel in Jamaica, on a long white-sand beach. Guests also get Stay at 1, Play at 2 exchange access to Sandals Caribbean Cay (formerly Sandals Royal Caribbean), which reopens the same day.

Sandals Montego Bay Wedding Venues
Sandals Montego Bay’s over-the-water wedding chapel has been rebuilt. The enclosed glass chapel is gone, replaced with an open ceremony deck over the water — a few posts, an open canopy, and sky. The aisle isn’t inside anything. We’ve been to every Sandals resort, and no other wedding venue in the brand is this open.
The old chapel held 40 guests. The current free wedding offer in Jamaica covers up to 50. The venue finally matches the promotion.
Free weddings in Jamaica: book five nights or longer in a Club or Butler category room for 2027 travel and the upgraded Sweetheart Wedding Package is free — a $1,250 value, with Jamaica’s marriage license and administrative fees waived. Book by December 31, 2026.
