Our stay at Sandals Saint Vincent and the Grenadines exceeded expectations in so many ways, especially when it came to food, activities, and the overall atmosphere. If you are considering Sandals St. Vincent and want a resort that blends elevated luxury with a relaxed, natural setting, this one truly stands out.
Dining at Sandals St. Vincent
This is easily one of the best Sandals resorts for dining. The food at Sandals St. Vincent is outstanding from morning to night.
Breakfast was a daily highlight with fresh smoothies, made-to-order omelets, and a buffet we enjoyed each morning. There is also an à la carte breakfast option at Parisol for those who prefer ordering from a menu.
Lunches were brought to us daily by our butler and honestly became one of the highlights of the trip. The salads were incredible. Even Jason ate salads every day. The quinoa bowls with added fish or chicken were a solid 10 out of 10.
Dinners were excellent across the board, but Scrimshaw stood out as our favorite restaurant at Sandals St. Vincent. This seafood-focused restaurant features a live lobster tank, and we loved it so much we went back two more times. We ended up ordering almost everything on the menu just to try it all, which led to meeting the chef. On our next visit, we were seated right in front of the lobster tank, which made the experience even more special.
The sushi was also excellent and very fresh. Sitting at the bar and watching our order being made added to the experience.
Pools, Beach & Daily Resort Life
Most of our days were spent by the infinity pool so we could enjoy uninterrupted views of the beach and ocean. Even with a butler, getting pool chairs early is important at Sandals St. Vincent. We were in our chairs around 8:30 am each morning and recommend being settled before 10 am.
There are several pool areas, each with a different vibe:
- The heart-shaped pool is quiet and perfect for reading
- The main pool is lively with a swim-up bar and a long, beautiful design running through the center of the resort
- A quieter pool with cabanas, some complimentary and some with a daily charge depending on occupancy
Activities & Experiences
Activities were plentiful throughout our stay at Sandals St. Vincent. We played pickleball, tennis, biked around the resort several times, joined beach and pool volleyball, played corn hole, and enjoyed plenty of water sports.
The spa deserves special mention. Outdoor massages overlooking the river were deeply relaxing, with the sound of the rolling brook adding to the experience.
The resort offers a complimentary kayak tour through the bat cave for all guests on Tuesdays, subject to change. We opted for a private kayak tour instead and paid $100 so we could choose our own day and time. We went with one other couple, paddled through the cave, around the rocks, and saw filming locations from Pirates of the Caribbean II before heading back through the cave to the resort. It was well worth it.
Sunsets & Local Feel
Sunsets at Sandals St. Vincent are truly a showstopper and should not be missed. On weekends, locals visit the beach with their families, but it never felt intrusive or bothersome. It added to the authentic island feel.
Rooms, Villas & Split-Stay Tip
We stayed in a beautiful villa with a private pool overlooking the beach, and it is one of my favorite villas we have experienced so far.
If the villas are outside your budget, I highly recommend a split stay at Sandals St. Vincent. Consider three nights in a private pool villa or the two-story overwater villa, then move to the Palm building rooms. The Palm rooms are beautiful, spacious, and offer great views.
We toured several room categories during our stay, and every room and suite we saw was large, beautifully designed, and thoughtfully laid out. Rondoval suites are currently under construction and are going to be stunning once completed. They are located to the left of the lobby area.
Sandals St. Vincent Arrival, Departure & Getting There
Arrival and departure were seamless. With our room type, we got to experience a boat arrival. From the airport, it is about a 15-minute drive to the marina, followed by a scenic boat ride to the resort with drinks in hand. We were greeted by the full butler team upon arrival and sent off the same way with a warm farewell on departure.
Seeing the island from the water was a great touch, especially since we did not do any traditional island tours this trip.
Snorkeling & Evenings
For snorkeling at Sandals St. Vincent, bring your own gear. You can head out on your own and see plenty of marine life. We also took out kayaks and paddleboards during the week.
Evenings were relaxed and enjoyable with live singers, a saxophonist, a piano bar, and nightly entertainment options that felt polished but never overdone.
