The founders of Twinsburg Travel, Karen and Jason, spent their honeymoon at this very resort, falling in love with its charm, hospitality, and breathtaking beauty. Years later, I was inspired to visit, eager to explore how Sandals Montego Bay has evolved while experiencing the magic that started it all. Our choice of this all-inclusive resort was also influenced by its close proximity to Sangster International Airport and the vibrant atmosphere it promised. The convenience of a short transfer time allowed us to maximize our vacation, immersing ourselves in the luxury and relaxation that awaited.
Seamless Arrival with Club Mobay
To enhance our travel experience, we opted for the Club Mobay service—a decision that proved invaluable. This VIP airport service expedited our passage through customs and immigration, allowing us to bypass the usual lines. The Club Mobay lounge offered a serene environment with complimentary food and beverages, setting the tone for the indulgence that characterized our stay. The attentive staff ensured our luggage was promptly handled, and we were escorted to our resort transportation with efficiency and care.
Luxurious Accommodations and Unparalleled Service
Upon arrival at Sandals Montego Bay, we were greeted with warm hospitality and refreshing cold towels, a gesture that spoke volumes about the resort’s commitment to guest comfort. Our concierge-level room was a sanctuary of elegance, offering stunning views and amenities that catered to our every need. The inclusion of room service added an extra layer of convenience, allowing us to savor gourmet meals in the privacy of our suite.
Sandals’ no-tipping policy fostered an environment where exceptional service was the standard, not an expectation. The only gratuities extended were to our bus driver and the Club Mobay staff, both of whom contributed significantly to our seamless experience.
Culinary Delights Across 12 Restaurants
Dining at Sandals Montego Bay was amazing. The resort boasts 12 distinct restaurants, each offering a unique culinary experience. From the freshest seafood to authentic Italian cuisine, the options were both diverse and delectable. Our personal favorite was Soy, the on-site sushi restaurant, where the artful presentations and flavors rivaled those of top-tier establishments. We never experienced long waits and the flexibility of dining times allowed us to indulge our palates at our leisure. Note, we showed up at popular restaurant Oleanders at 6pm, and were seated right away with a breathtaking sunset beach view.
Beachside Bliss and Poolside Relaxation
The resort’s beachfront location provided ample opportunities for relaxation. Securing beach chairs was a breeze, though shaded spots were in high demand and hard to get. For those seeking guaranteed shade, the butler service is a worthwhile consideration, as these rooms come with reserved prime spots for their guests.
Sandals Montego Bay features seven pools and three whirlpools, each offering a unique ambiance. While poolside seating was somewhat limited, we found the beach to be our preferred spot for unwinding and soaking in the Caribbean sun.
Exclusive Over-the-Water Cabana Experience
A highlight of our trip was reserving an over-the-water cabana on our final day. This private retreat offered unparalleled views of the turquoise waters and a level of seclusion that epitomized luxury. With a day of butler service, the tranquility that made this experience truly unforgettable.
The Adorable Resort Cats of Sandals Montego Bay
One of the most unexpected and heartwarming parts of our stay was encountering the adorable resort cats that seemed to look after Sandals Montego Bay. These friendly felines roamed the property, adding a touch of charm and companionship to our vacation. One particular cat quickly became our little friend, waiting patiently outside our room every night for us to return from dinner and share a few treats. Another cat decided to accompany us on a leisurely 30-minute walk around the resort, as if giving us a personalized tour of the grounds! Their presence made the resort feel even more welcoming, and we loved how they interacted with guests, bringing smiles and an extra sense of warmth to the experience.
Relaxing at the Over-the-Water Bar
Another favorite spot of ours at Sandals Montego Bay was the stunning over-the-water bar. This picturesque retreat allowed us to unwind with a delicious cocktail in hand while taking in the breathtaking ocean views. The highlight? The hammock nets suspended over the water, where we loved to lounge and let the gentle sea breeze wash over us. It was the perfect place to slow down, soak up the beauty of the Caribbean, and enjoy a truly relaxing moment.

One of the best parts of our stay was taking advantage of the many included water sports at Sandals Montego Bay. The resort offers an incredible array of activities, including kayaking, snorkeling, sailing, and paddleboarding. One morning, we woke up early and took the paddle-boards out on the calm, glassy waters. It was a serene and peaceful experience, with the sunrise painting the sky in soft hues while we glided across the ocean. The water sports team was always friendly and helpful, making it easy to try new activities and enjoy the Caribbean Sea to the fullest. Whether you’re an adventure-seeker or just looking to relax on the water, the included water sports at Sandals Montego Bay add an extra layer of excitement to any stay.
