There are beautiful resorts throughout the Caribbean, but Sandals Royal Barbados feels different the moment you arrive. The whole resort feels like a lush escape, as you will find yourself following little paths, hoping between pools, and of course trying as many restaurants are possible.
The resort has a modern, upscale atmosphere with contemporary architecture, elegant suites, rooftop lounges overlooking the ocean.

The dining at Sandals Royal Barbados and Sandals Barbados is impressive. Favorites include Butch’s Seafood, Butch’s Steakhouse, a healthy side dining option, and a fresh Smoothie Bar where you can watch your smoothie being made with your choice of fruits and vegetables.And the jerk chicken is honestly some of the best we have had in the Caribbean.
With the stay at one play, play at two, that gives you: 20 Restaurants
If you like staying active, this property offers so much more than just lounging by the pool. You will find pool basketball, pool volleyball, beach volleyball, cornhole, giant chess, shuffleboard, pickleball, bowling, and a sports bar with TVs. And yes, if you plan to bowl, do not forget your socks.
You will notice plenty of friendly cats around the property, and if you are up early enough, you may even see monkeys roaming through the grounds. It is such a unique experience. Just remember not to feed them.
It quickly became one of our favorite places to relax.
During the day it’s peaceful, with panoramic views overlooking the Caribbean Sea. In the evening it transforms into one of the best places to enjoy a cocktail while watching the sunset.
It’s one of those features that makes Sandals Royal Barbados feel a little more luxurious than many other all-inclusive resorts.
The rooms are among the newest in the Sandals collection and offer a much more modern design than many Caribbean resorts.
Whether you’re looking for a Club Level suite, Butler Elite suite, or one of the incredible Swim-up Suites or SkyPool Suites, there are accommodations for almost every style of traveler.
